TRICLA L

TRICLA L is an antiparasitic product formulated with levamisole and triclabendazole. Levamisole is an anthelmintic that acts on nematodes by producing muscle paralysis, leading to their subsequent expulsion. Triclabendazole is a trematocide which is highly effective against all stages of Fasciola hepatica and belongs to the benzimidazole family. It inhibits microtubule synthesis by binding to tubulin, causing a fatal disruption in the parasite and preventing the uptake and utilization of glucose, main energy substrate required for the development of the parasite’s stages.

Description

DIRECTIONS:

It is indicated for the treatment and control of acute, sub-acute, and chronic hepatic distomatosis (Fasciola hepatica, liver fluke, “alicuya”). It acts on the immature, juvenile, and adult stages of the parasite.

Additionally, it is used for the treatment and control of parasitic bronchitis and parasitic gastroenteritis. When used at the recommended dose, the product is effective against the immature, developing and mature stages of susceptible species, such as Haemonchus spp., Trichostrongylus spp., Cooperia spp., Nematodirus spp., Bunostomum ssp., and Oesophagostomum spp., in the gastrointestinal tract, as well as Dictyocaulus spp., in the lungs. This product is also effective against the developing and adult stages of Ostertagia spp., but it is not active against inhibited larvae.
